Lake Forest Park Renovation
Hi, Thanks for your question about our Lake Forest Park project. I designed the cherry cabinet door panels. The textural pattern was custom milled with a CNC milling machine.
from the attached photo, the shower floor is the same limestone that we used for the floor of the main bath area. The walls are are a variegated pattern of glazed tile from Ann Sacks. --Nils Finne, AIA
Really like the wood colour for the bathroom!
windows, light fixtures, skylights, color of wood
Light in bathroomA little too much wood, would like to see more combo of materials but like
Finne's scooped wood pattern reappears on the cantilevered vanity. The floors and countertops are limestone, the shower door is Starphire glass and the pendant lights are by Bruck.Go ahead and do a double take at this photo; can you tell where the mirrors above the vanity end and the glass begins?

What color and brand of wood is the floor?
I still love this layout - the openness and visual as you look into the bathroom, the wood floor pattern in hall (but not color of wood), the electric vanities and mirrors, the chandelier, the light bright color scheme and rug (or tile rug) to break it up.
Everything!!! Chandelier, wood floors, white vanity

though ( as nearly as I can see) that it resembles wood grain. Would this be achieved from acid etching or a painted finish?
What species of wood is that on the wall? Also, is it ship lap or t&g
cement board underlayment for tile to get a cement-wall look (but without the wood grain). Experiment and have fun. Patty
I am a novice too but maybe looking up vinegar, steel wool mixture as a stain to achieve the barn wood look.
The wood is vertical grain doug fir. They are straight cut and blind nailed over black backing. We used biscuits to keep them straight and well spaced.
Karen, you might try a grey deck stain on the wood. It won't look just like this, but you can experiment with colors and see if you can get something you like. You can also select some nice stainless

What type of wood is this on the wall?
Can you create this wood distressed concrete on the floor?
Is this a one piece wood mold or did you do it in different stages?
I suppose you could use this pattern on the floor using wood boards to create the pattern when the concrete is still wet but it would be fairly rough and may be difficult to execute. You would want to check with
The wall is actually a structural concrete retaining wall where the form boards (wood) were intentionally kept a 1/4"- 1/2" apart to allow for some of the concrete to "ooze" out and create the linear pattern. The concrete contractor didn't want to do it as it was more work having to hand tamp during
your renovating our tiles are a great option. They are a concrete tile, it comes in 6" x 8 foot lengths and each tile is unique, there is no repeat pattern of any kind. With our new “Board Form” tiles, you can create the authentic look on any existing surface such as feature walls, fireplaces, backsplash

Love love love the wood grain on the vanity doors.
This cabinetry was custom. The frame (or darker wood) is cherry and the panels and stripes on the drawers are made of end-grain pine in a sort of bookmatch pattern. Pine is pretty soft and not terribly stable, but we figured this guest bath would good place
Like all colors including sink faucet and knobs, counter and darker wood color but not patterns in wood

Tell me what wood was used in this herringbone floor, or is this wood tile??? It is a beautiful color to top with an oriental rug.
Is it okay for that wooden bench to get wet? I suppose it is, but what kind of wood is it? Does it need a special finish?
would love for you to share the wood type on the cabinet.. & stain color
what is the species of wood on the floor?
