Why type of wood di you use on the walls?

If you are painting a bathroom floor, consider using marine paint (the same as used on boats) to handle the moisture that is especially rough on wood.

This is a beautiful bath. I'm considering using wood panels which match tub surround instead of tile for a tub backsplash. Any comments on how this has endured? Thank you very much

Great room....what are the panels on the front of the tub made of?
The panels are poplar wood painted.
1/2" mdf on drywall, 3/4" mdf with a custom panel mould, chair rail top with a 1 1/4" rabid, all painted.
The paneling is fine. There is a high quality
than the tub. With small children and bathing I would use a tile backsplash. For a master bath application the wood is probably fine. Use a small 2" upturn marble slab backsplash with the paneling sitting on it above if you are concerned, and that should take care of any water seepage.
