I believe the plywood comes in 4 x 8 sheets. Did you cut them into 4 x4 sheets to lay them...I don;t see any place the plywood was butted together. Is it hard to keep up? Why did you purchase the more expensive
Hi Bryn, Yes the sheets come in 4x8 sheets and for this project, we kept them in their full size. For the trim, we wanted to expose the 7-ply ends, which is why we went with a more expensive plywood. I have seen plywood used in the kitchen before, yet not the bathroom, but I don't see why you can't try
sheets of five-ply 1/2-inch domestic birch plywood for the flooring ($60 per sheet) 3 sheets of three-ply 3/4-inch Baltic birch plywood for the trim ($90 per sheet) 150 square feet of 1/8-inch acoustical foam underlay ($20) Handful of fasteners — 2 1/2-inch gold screws ($5) Wood putty ($5) 1 gallon of floor-grade

I am wanting to use this on some walls in my home and am wondering what my options are; does it come in 4x8 sheets or would I need to go at it one board at a time? I frequently see it used in cottages and it is typically painted white. Crate and Barrel use
Betty- we used 1x12 inch pine boards, painted.
a custom tint with Ben. Moore Grand Teton White as the base (it was lightened a bit, but this was done on site so there isn't a formula). These are 1x12 pine boards (no tongue and groove)- yes you would nail them into the wall studs. Furring strips, or solid blocking would be needed it you won't be
Thank you for the kind words. The boards are just 1x12" plain boards (no tongue and groove, etc.). I'm not sure exactly where the contractor sources them from, but you can probably find this size board
