I want to do something like this in Miami but we can't figure out here to put the switches so you can shut the lights out while in bed and so they don't mess up the look of the wall. We're the panels hard to cut for outlets and switches?
Who is the manufacturer of the recessed lights over the bed?
Thanks for your question. There aren't light switches near the bed. The home is on a smart system. Everything is controlled via iPads, but I put a small remote in each nightstand drawer to control the bedside lights. An A/V professional can easily retrofit a switch located anywhere in the room to be controlled
remote communicates with the switch, and your home doesn't necessarily have to have a full-blown smart system to incorporate this technology. I hope this helps! In many cases it can be a relatively inexpensive retrofit, and is definitely better than having to reach for a switch, which in this kind of application

Paint the outlet or vent covers the same color as the walls.
for master bedroom. like white duvet with coverlet on top. darker pillows and light colored throw at end of bed.
vent covers, switch plates and outlet covers disappear. Walls painted in a deep rich color can be beautiful, but any vents, outlets and light switches on that wall can really stand out. Help them blend by painting them. Simply unscrew the covers and dust them off with a clean cloth. For switch and
and outlet covers, spray with a bonding primer like XIM, then paint. For vent covers, lightly rub steel wool (so the paint can adhere) and paint. Tip: Never paint the actual switch or outlet. It could be dangerous and interfere with the function of the electrical mechanism.
