which is uneven tile, because the tile contractors can’t get a straight line to adhere tile. Problems that may not be very apparent when looking at a whole wall of drywall under construction lighting are magnified when the tile is on and the pot lights are showing areas where the tile doesn’t meet properly

We have a very similar tile that we'd like to install in our kitchen and bathrooms. But we are wondering what flooring would work well with this? We are considering a neutral tan/beige

Not sure if you got your answer, but I have found that Build direct has some wonderful porcelian tile with the wood look. Check it out: ... The Salerno is very light, but they have different brands that have the look of whitewashed and sand. Barnwood is nice too.

If you want a more practical option for carpeting, you could choose carpet tiles. Minor accidents (bound to happen) can be remedied by replacing individual tiles instead of an entire floor of carpeting. I speak from experience.

what kind of tile did you use?
This is a large terra cotta tile. Unfortunately, we don't have the exact specification, because project was in rural France, and the tile was sourced locally.

do i need to look for special tiles to get them screwed into the wall? not all the tiles can take that I guess.
The tile start at about $10 unfinished / $2.5 per square foot, for a similar look you are looking at about $25 per tile which is about $6.25 per square
