What material is on the face of the fireplace. It looks like tile, I'm looking for the name of it from b+g. Or someone who recognizes it. Not a guess please.
Hi. I live in a flat (ground floor) with just one floor above us. We were thinking of installing a fire place and would like to know if it's possible to do so?
Typically a hearth is 18 to 20" height. The base of the fire unit looks like its approx 4" above that.

It's been awhile but I'd say floor is 2 1/4" Red Oak planks, #1 or better. Stain was custom mixed on job using Dura Seal brand stains. I can't recall formula. Sorry.
This looks to me like its stainless steel which looks best when kept polished. If you have kids this can be a tall order. Have you thought about zinc which is gets better
