Hi - thanks for your question. It's hardwood - I believe it was a white oak - and we put a custom finish on top. The room opens up with French Doors to the outside - just to the right of the photo. This home was built on a slightly sloping lot and I think it turned out beautifully.

How do you make tall cabinetry doors with wood that will not warp over time?
