While window in closet does aid circulation of air, doesn't sunlght bleach clothing? I was adviced not to put window in closet for that reason.

An additional option (to reduce sun issues) would be to put in a smaller awning window (one which tilts out). This would aid air flow, while still allowing placement of storage

Like the natural light - like the dark tone wood and paint - like that I wouldn't hate going into this room at 5:50 in the morning when I'm trying to find my socks.
