took out flooring and its plain old grey concrete, want to stain it with
Usually on concrete floors, an acid stain is applied to the surface of the standard grey concrete flooring surface. The artisans use a paint sprayer, and apply the stains in a mist over the top layer of the concrete. We usually finish it off with a sealer and waxes
desired amount of sheen. Concrete is a great material for flooring - we embrace and look forward to variations, irregularities, and the patina that develops with wear over time so the cracks and chips (if repaired and filled) can add to the 'beauty marks' on your floor. Concrete gives you great longevity

Is this a polished concrete floor or an overlay of some sort? thank you!

Style Secret: Concrete SurfacesConcrete earns brownie (greenie?) points for several reasons. It's typically manufactured with local materials near its point of use, which makes for a smaller carbon footprint, and it doesn't require a ton of resources to make. It stores heat in warm weather and releases
comfy without blasting the furnace or AC. And it blocks air leaks to cut energy costs even further. Put it into practice: If a home made entirely from concrete doesn't appeal (and for most of us, it doesn't), use it just for the floors — you'll still enjoy a lot of the benefits. Worried that it won't jibe
