It's extremely fast growing and invasive. It's fine in a container but I would not plant in the garden unless you don't mind it spreading everywhere! It's like mint in the way it grows and runs in the garden. I hope this helps!

The lattice is available through any well-stocked lumber yard and some garden centers; I didn't build these so I'm not sure where this came from. It is considered privacy lattice, as there is very little space between the slats

Thanks for speedy reply. I was interested in using gabions for our sloping garden, but already we are constantly fighting off marauding hordes of slugs and snails. The birds here just aren't up to the job - or are too well fed to deign dining on such fare. Even the hedgehog turns up his nose - so
this backyard. Instead of hauling off excess rocks during the homes remodel process, stone was kept onsite and placed in gabions. The gabions form a garden wall and bench seating.
