covers are the base layer of any good garden design, and one of my favorites for low maintenance and year-round good looks is creeping juniper, a low-growing shrub that’s native to the U.S. and grows in a wide variety of conditions. In the wild it grows on rocky outcroppings in places like the Maine
valuable, hedges aren't a priority. Here we see a hanging hedge of horizontally growing juniper conifers used to soften the concrete retaining wall.

Whether or not you consider this to be garden design, it is without a doubt clever landscaping. The horizontal growing Junipers, left to their own devices, create an informal break among the strong formal lines of the retaining walls.More garden weepers and creepers

A Japanese Garden
A japanese garden created in combination with a herb and vegetable garden contained in weathered Cor-ten steel tanks. The dry river bed was created using recycled mild steel pieces and naturally arranged river stones. The water feature was designed in unison with Yael K Designs.

Plant a vegie gardenNext time you are doing your grocery shopping, pay attention to the herbs and vegetables on repeat. Maybe it is time you start growing your favourites at home? This is a triple attack, really. It helps you cut back on your grocery bills, it gives you a new earth-friendly hobby to
to try, and it gives you organic and fresh vegetables all year round. It’s a win-win-win situation.More: Easy Vegetable Gardens for Black Thumbs

Veggies or herbs on the wall.
No excuses to grow a little food somewhere.
Nice idea for growing my herbs
Chilean architect Carolina Katz transformed this blank brick wall into a vertical edible garden by mounting old CD shelves on the wall, and now has fresh herbs steps from her home office. Show us how you’re growing herbs or veggies without a yard.

Would be good for growing herbs that are easily accessible from the kitchen.
Love this deck with raised garden planters
raised planters and a seating area/ could be nice for a "herb garden"
Herb garden off the back deck
clever deck built-ins include planters. This is a great opportunity for adding a layer of privacy with taller plants, and creating a spot for an edible garden.
