floors will be less reflective than any poly but they should have some amount of satiny shine. The dull, dusty quality in your floors 'may' indicate sanding and/or application error. Very dark floors show dust, dirt and scratches more easily but it sounds to me like the problem is in the finish. It also

Jeremy. They are the original, sanded 150mm wide Victorian floor boards varnished with Osmo Polyx oil. You could use reclaimed floor boards, sand and varnish them.

clear finish only - no stain. The small darker square accent elements are mahogany plugs that were used to cover the recessed connections. They were sanded flush with the fir and the two woods were finished together. Thanks for the question. Cathy
