The new raised roof and clerestory help to bring light into the heart of the house and provides views to the surrounding treetops

Was the hole for the view from the Kitchen cut out?
The hole that lets you look from the kitchen to the dinning room. Was that created and was that a load baring wall?
from the kitchen to dining area existed, but we removed the existing pantry to open it up further. There is a load bearing column which remains intact that was behind the pantry. This is what informed the design of a cutout/ window opening rather than a fully open passage from the kitchen to the dining
