Did you have to do anything special to protect your concrete floor from the carpet tiles?
love it paired with the wood. Also, is this a sheet installation or tile?
this floor is not concrete !....it is forbo marmoleum, much easier on the legs in a kitchen, soft, natural, forgiving, and reasonably priced ! putting flor tiles on top of any flooring you risk the discolouring of the floor as
as the floor around it ages and the floor underneath the flor tiles doesn't.......

Beautiful tile back splash. Could you share where you found it?
Are concrete tiles installed differently from other kinds of flooring (i.e. porcelain, terra cotta, etc.)? Also, I have to
The back splash tile is from the Ann Sacks collection. The color, however, is no longer produced. One of the defining characteristics of this tile is it's "burnt edge" - the color has a lot of variation to it. If you're trying to replicate this I would look for similar tiles that have the same
Installation completely depends on the type of tile you are installing. Sometimes you will need to use a different type of thin set or a different size notch trowel etc. If you're doing the installation yourself, take the actual tile to your local home store and an, hopefully, informed clerk

Is the runner bought as pictured or do you buy the tiles separately and have them assembled?
Hi @Judithw, the carpet is from FLOR. You purchase the tiles individually and you can cut and install them anyway you like. They are easy to install, basically just tapped together. I hope this helps
The floor is sublime anw what a cool idea to use carpet tiles for that punch of color
Carpet tiles instead of a runner in front of sink.
Many tiles are suitable for damp areas. Here, striped tiles are laid parquet style, at 90 degrees, giving this kitchen runner a basket-weave effect.
Try a two-tile wide runner that alternates stripe orientations.
