why don't I like this? - horizantal island counter cuts up the space?
right up against a wall as this might interfere with handling a pot safely. Also keep your eyes on required clearances when placing appliances to avoid fire hazards. tiles were the existing splashback and we matched the wall colour to them. I'm not sure where they came from but they are a 100x100mm ceramic tile Fired Earth sell similar ones.
