basicsNatural cork comes from the bark of cork trees, found mainly in southern Europe and northern Africa. Scraps of bark left over from punched-out bottle stoppers are ground, pressed and baked into sheets that are ready to convert into floor planks and tiles. Portugal is the epicenter of the cork industry
and pests.Fans of cork adore its natural variations in tone and texture, which create a richness and depth that even the best manufacturers can’t replicate. If you’d rather go bold, cork can be dyed or stained any shade that suits your fancy.

Questions3
What color is the cork on these floors?
This floor pattern (cork) is known in the industry as a "ribbon" pattern. All cork producers make a version of this floor. Forna's pattern is called "Silver Birch". The colour is "natural'. In other words, there is no stain added to the natural colour of cork. This is the colour it comes off the
piece but you know it's gonna be sized perfectly for your place and there aren't gonna be any ugly filler pieces which show up even more when you do a wall unit with zero clearance cabinetry.
