I have a similar application to do in a hopeful remodel and need to put a stackable in a closet by the bathroom also...
I want to do this, but would like to know where to position gas shut off as well as water valves
I wonder what the noise and vibration is like in the rest of the House around the closet. Is it on the second floor? Did you do something to manage the noise? Does it shake the house? We have recently done something similar and the vibration has been a huge issue.

my new washer and dryer. It's a front loader like pictured here and I would love to use the top as counter space. Any suggestion? I do have cabinets above so i just need some suggestions to make the top into a countertop. Thanks, any and all suggestions would be very helpful.
You should have enough room to do the same as they have in this picture... just go to a joiner or carpenter and ask them to make something up for you. In doing this... make sure that there is enough room for airflow for the washer and dryer as you do not want to overheat either of them...they

do something different/fun in this room
Do something shocking. The great thing about laundry rooms is that they are typically closed off from the rest of the house, so if you want a jolt of hibiscus pink that clashes with everything else you have going on in the house, this is the place to do it.
