needed on a glossy ebony floor vs more of a flat sheen? In your experience, how well does a dark wood floor hold up to kids/pets? Thanks!
I see a picture of something I like Its usually one of your rooms. Anyway, we are doing a family room similar to this one and we are also picking out trim. What is your advice on trim? Someone told me the more simple it is the more up to date it will look. Do you agree?
people have a tendency to go a bit nuts. From a design perspective, canned lighting should never be your sole source of light. I've been in one too many homes that look like a landing strip or gaming arcade because they've had the entire ceiling done in canned lights. It becomes a missed design opportunity

Where can I find a similar fireplace screen?
through L.A. DesignConcepts, a company that will process a "trade only" purchase for us normal folk. :) http://www.ladesignconcepts.com/
Possibly.
There could be a small tv behind the mirror if the glass is a beam splitter
which is a beautiful worsted wool. It's trade-only fabric, if you're not a designer you have to buy it through one.
Thanks for your interest!
Is there a way to find out where to buy this fabulous firescreen? Please let me know. THANKS!
We actually had that table custom made. It's basically a parson's
could be a tv inside the fireplace behind the lattice work. If so, i assume the lattice work is a decorative element to distract from the screen. Needless to say this would not be an active fireplace.
I have seen this done before.
