Questions1
wall-hung concrete countertop for their master bathroom, similar to what you have in this picture. I'm worried about weight, so am wondering if the height is just achieved by pouring it with an "L" front edge vs. all concrete. Also wondering how it is attached to the walls. Thanks very much. tiful counter and BBQ area. Can you tell me how thick the counter top is? Thanks, Heidi
Hello, Can you tell me the exact color and manufacturer of the cement counter top?
custom concrete counter top, it has a polished smooth surface that looks like granite. This garden is in coastal Southern California, and it's fine here. You may choose lighter colors or use shade trees if your area gets very hot.
The counter top is actually honed black granite slab with a 3" square
smooth concrete counter top. You can purchase the grill, drawers, doors, etc from many suppliers, such as Viking, Firemagic, and Lynx.
With counters they do a nice little trick on the edge by joining two pieces together (the side and the top) with a 45 degree angle and the result looks like an extra thick counter depth. This was you can choose any depth you want for that nice weighty look.
“really like countertop style/color. color on stucco is nice, but too close to house. Need contrast” — Gary Lentz

Japanese Maple. It could be one of many cultivars.
Funny you should ask given your location...it's a Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum)! It's probably either the 'Bloodgood' or 'Emperor One' cultivar.
