N and S beam and E and W beam come together and are not stacked on side on top of the other. I like to the finished detail of the top 2x4's or 1x2's.

walls are actually constructed of Corten steel - any steel plate product will naturally patina to this color, essentially rusting over - however unlike other steel typically used in landscapes, the Corten only rust to a certain point and then stops - so it will not degrade over time.
