I watch your show all the time and if Im not home I DVR it, thank you. I have a real disaster of a yard and I know my neighbors cant stand it. I have a husband that hates yard work and I love it but work full time as a nurse and he is full time as a state trooper. Where do I start I own
5 acres is a lot to take care of... you need to hire a person 2 days a week and see how much gets done... make a schedule of what you want before you hire... maybe it will go down to 1 day a week... after you see how much of your schedule can be done...

warm day in Provence, love the linen table, the olive tree for the shade, the blue sky and the general relaxed feel.
Great idea for large, open space. Creating little island of landscape
This is pretty close to my idea for our yard.
Dining al fresco is the cheapest way to get a little French style into your environment. Take advantage of an unseasonably warm day, set out a linen table cloth, and have lunch outside. This may be in California, but it sure feels like France. Next, more photos that bring a little
It is the most pleasant view I have ever seen, I could have my coffee there forever, and enjoy every drop.
Now...I must admit...this might not make most husbands want to take Sunday afternoons off from golfing in order to sit here with the paper....but I will. Give up golf I mean...in order to sit here. I don't even play golf.
Thanks for your kind words, we use LED fittings these days so these are 8w warm white LED fittings. If you were using Halogen, 20w MR16 globe would be more than ample. We purchase our light fittings through
Private dinner for two, my husband and I. Friday evening, quality time x
I love this picture and the idea of hospitality it generates.
Perfect! Decoration that I want for my house
I love this idea, though obviously I'd take a more earthy, organic feel to it.

land. When we first saw the house I described to my husband pretty much what you have designed and created in this picture! Can you come to Australia and help me bring my dream to fruition??? how I wish??? Now I'more determined than ever to make my dream come true
What made you come up with this lovely idea
My very own man made stream. Love it, how do I incorporate a pool?
Love the water feature but I know that is outside my budget.
8. Alluring landscape lighting. An amazing shift happens in the garden when the sun sets. The landscape features that stood center stage during the day recede into darkness, and a whole new atmosphere can be created with creative placement of landscape lighting. Trees can be uplit, and paths can be defined

like these. I think this is so adorable and doable. Should my husband and I have a rather extensive resume and property I would love to do both in ground and box style for my herbs. This is due to it being portable should we travel from each of our home locations. that way the food stays fresh (according
Good idea for attached green house
I'd love this post marraige or if God allows before. This would be a great location for my herb garden. I'd plant my herbs in mini boxes like

I have my own sport court with two 1000 watt bulbs and now have a complaining neighbor. Looking for a solution.

my backyard part one because i love basketball
Pickup games can happen at any time of day. Be prepared by lighting up your court for the next nighttime tip-off.

might create a Service station effect (it was to be double this height but home is 90's contemporary and I thought it maybe too much of a contrast? My husband wants the windows to be sheltered from the rain, I too do want the dog to have shelter, . . . but originally I was keen to have the area very light
Capital Builders, every time I come across your South Coogee Home I just sigh with complete satisfaction! I am currently having a small debate with husband about the depth of an overhang that will be outside a new dinning room (next to Kitchen) - similar to what you have shown here but with no second story
Thanks your comments will help my confidence in proceeding with my reno project.
Thanks for your comments on the house - we love it! The overhang we have is about 1.6m which works out perfectly to still be able to open the bi-fold doors on a rainy day, although if you want to furnish it at all you

This is similar to an idea I have for a patio against our back fence. I like the idea of raised planters with a wide enough top for extra seating and I like the idea of framing the sides of the patio with tall plants to create a room.
north side yard. Paired with some great foliage and trees it will feel like a natural element of the shady garden, and be a great retreat on hot summer days.
The fencing treatment is in line with my thinking as is the edge treatment around the wall edges.
