Hi zachandannie. Some of the plant selections for the living wall include: Lonicera nitida 'Edmee Gold', Euonymus fortunei 'Moonshadow', Liriope muscari Variegata, Campanula 'Cherry Bells', Carex oshimensis 'Evergold', Geranium 'Rozanne', Heuchera 'Palace Purple', Lysimachia nummularia
Know that beauty does not have to be expensive. It took little more than pea gravel, vertical pocket gardens, concrete planter bowls and a few concrete benches to convert this abandoned lot into an open, inviting area. Instead of quickly passing through

8. Take a cue from cafés. Carve out a defined patio space within a larger yard with extra-large planters around the border. Fill the planters flanking the entrance with trees and finish the look with a few strategically placed umbrellas.

NYC Roof Garden: Terrace Deck, Wood Planter Boxes, Fence, Container Garden, Ipe
This custom contemporary NYC roof garden design features beautifully stained ipe deck and planters with plantings of evergreens, Japanese maples, bamboo, boxwoods, and ornamental grasses.
how did you waterproof the planters?
What a beautiful deck and planter boxes. The contrast that Ipe has brought to the brick wall and glass panels has really brought out the design of this deck.
My carpenter custom-built these planter boxes out of ipe.

How did you waterproof the planters?
wood planters and colorful climbing plants
wall with vine to soften the look from the street
planter boxes and planks on house wall
Like look of planters with lattice. Could do something similar with benches
vertical space! Walls and fencing are just as fair game as the ground. Make use of this space by implementing attractive vines and creepers, hanging lights, sconces, or even picture frames and mirrors.
Here we see a wood trellis with colorful plants climbing them from large planters placed below.
Some of the plants are making their way to the roof joists. Eventually plants will cover the walls between the windows and doors.
