Great window. Can you tell me the manufacturer?
Did you also move the kitchen wall and add space? What is the adjoining room in the distance?
Patti and Rick, Beautiful redesign of a '50's ranch kitchen! Do you recall the floor space available on the long sides of the island. I know they recommend 4', but I wonder if 3'8" or less is wide enough to manage. Are any of these cabinets from IKEA? I think it's brilliant you used sliding doors
@chestnutkitchen The homeowners took out all the walls to adjoin the kitchen, living and dining areas. The open concept design, bright colours and accordion style window certainly make the kitchen feel and look larger than before! FYI the room in the distance is the family room.

This was a custom window that was assembled on-site. Very complicated and precise. The frame is aluminum angle that is bolted
What is the material around the frame of these windows on the exterior? Aluminum?

I'd love to know the size of these windows! Thanks so
the window casement since there is so little backsplash and rotting over time (for kitchen users who aren't good about wiping up their messes)?
Just a guess, but I think the fixed window is 4' wide and 3' high, and the two casement windows are 2' wide and 3' high, standard sized stock windows mulled
Looks like my parents window in their kitchen pella
The side windows open...the centre does not
Casement windows with no lines
Kitchen window - subway tiles all around

Make the window above the sink a little larger to bring in more light and make the job of doing dishes more bearable.

Love the window! Does it lay flat against the wall? What company sells them?
I would love to know the manufacturer of this window! What is the countertop?
Love this installation but I do not see a bottom track at the window?
The counter top seems to extend out in one piece. without a visible track/ horizontal frame at the bottom of the window ..so I was wondering how this works. Awesome idea just curious about the details
Kolbe windows from Wausau Wisconsin makes windows like this
I still want to know the manufacturer of the window!
Cool....window with that tree reflection. Is it done on purpose?
Cool idea for the kitchen window.

Leanna Rathkelly photo: Bringing the outside into the kitchen meant using large windows all around this ocean-side home, eliminating upper cabinets on the view side of the kitchen. A window is even placed behind the gas range so the owner can look outside to the wild yard while cooking.
in front of a window?? thought not!
we've been told that safety codes will not allow what's pictured here---and in our remodeling we want to do exactly what's shown, a gas stovetop with window behind. any information will be appreciated!
What are the dimensions of this kitchen?
Are there any issues when putting a window or glass behind a gas range? I am considering this but saw on a blog that condensation may be an issue so use vinyl windows and grease on the window will mean cleaning up quite a bit. Is

D&B Architects, Love this kitchen! I am considering putting an induction cooktop/wall oven in front of a bank of windows, as putting it in an island opposite the sink
Do you have other pictures of a range, hood, AND sink on window walls?
Can you tell me how wide the center window is?
we have not used an induction cooktop. but we have certainly put cooktops and ranges in front of a bank of windows (middleton, greenbrier). no complaints so far! As far as placement of sink opposite cooktop, we've done that as well. it's a function of the client
