ending at a 9' plate, would you use larger beams or still use 6"x6" beams and space at 4' wide? This is new construction and we are getting ready to frame. I like how this kitchen looks, but in a living room vaulted clg., would you use a 6"x8" beams?

Notice the shelf behind the 3-sided bench -- this means you can seat the same number of people without the shelf in considerably less space. We've done breakfast nooks as small as 6'x6' before. like the project! I'm pretty sure this is Sherwin Williams paint, although I am unsure of the color (owner selected 3 years ago).
