Is there a name for the type of window or privacy glass used here?
O.K. It looks like regular privacy glass, but I thought I read something in the comment thread about it being vinyl, and leaving no residue, so I then thought it might be some sort of
We used obscure glass in the bottom sash of all the bath windows. It's a great way to provide for privacy while letting in light. It works particularly well with the cottage-style double hung that is smaller in the top sash.
Frosted Vinyl, privacy with light :)
Great idea for privacy in a bathroom.
Frosted vinyl on the windows - cheap way to allow light in, but keep privacy. Can be removed with no
solution. Apply frosted vinyl to any window in a room that needs both privacy and light. Style tip: Vinyl comes off easily and leaves no residue. Contact paper, with its sticky back, is much harder to remove over time.

Electronic doors give the homeowner the option of privacy from the rest of the home.
New automatic sliding doors were added to Earl Hart’s office to give him some much-needed privacy. “He’s kind of a gadget geek, and these doors operate by remote control, so he loves them,” says Carrino. “He can go in here, shut the door and work on projects.”
