My house has a similar design in that there's no awning on which to attach a gutter. The result is rain water dripping down the sides of the house and pouring onto the front porch. Looking for ideas...
is generally done to capture the water running down vertical surfaces of homes because the roof and the gutters below them carry most of the water. For minor water control, you can install the fascia lower than the soffit inside the porch (that encourages the water to drip from the bottom of the fascia
to that. Those last two options will have a real impact on how your home looks and may require a building permit. I would recommend consulting with a local contractor or architect to find the solution that's right for your home. Good luck!

The development of the architecture and the site were critical to blend the home into this well established, but evolving, neighborhood. One goal was to make the home appear as if it had been there 20 years. The home is designed on just under an acre of land with a primary concern of working around
by the client’s taste of a modern Craftsman home, marries materials, finishes and technologies to create a very comfortable environment both inside and out. Sustainable materials and technologies throughout the home create a warm, comfortable, and casual home for the family of four. Considerations from
finishes, exterior materials, plan layout and orientation, thermal envelope and energy efficient appliances give this home the warmth of a craftsman with the technological edge of a green home. Photography by Casey Dunn

Overall view of remodeled exterior of home.
I really like the curb appeal of this home, very well done!! I am interested in learning more about the siding. Is the siding real cedar shakes or some form of cement board? I will be remodeling a home soon and really like this look. I also wonder if I need to worry about
about cedar shakes in a wetter environment, which is where my home sits, next to a river? Thanks for any advice/input.
Where could I find the floor plan to this home ?
Would love to see the layout of this home.
