A black range and vent hood fit in nicely with the soapstone countertops. A matching soapstone backsplash connects the two. Range: Bluestar; range hood: Vent-A-Hood

someone tried to do some updating but cheaped out and it's a mishmash of modern and original. The home was hand built from reclaimed wood from a barn up north. Not the kind of house I feel can be gutted and modernized without ruining that piece of history. So I'm looking for ways to restore as much as
5 feet of tile before drywall. their fan vent on the ceiling is gorgeous.

for the way we live today. Architectural pop-outs serve as window seats or garden windows. The living room and dinning room have been opened up to create a larger, more flexible space for living and entertaining. The ceiling in the central vestibule was lifted up through the roof and topped with a skylight
What is that made up of?
Very pretty home. What is the size of the pop-out?
This pop-out is approximately 3' x 7' when measured from outside.
Small solutions. Sometimes a very small addition can yield big results, particularly in kitchens. Adding just 3 or 4 feet to a cramped kitchen can open up a world of possibilities for appliances and additional cabinetry. If this can be achieved by cantilevering the addition (which does not require a foundation)
