our TV is 52" and our fireplace is a 42" I believe...we are trying to determine if we can make this fit. Also, is there a hearth in front of cabinets?
Great design, I love the wood "box" for the tv, great
Cool way to incorporate TV & fireplace. Like stone work!
best design for fireplace n tv
use texture when combining a fireplace and television on the same wall. The extra texture actually makes the components subtler; the eye skims over the TV and fireplace, instead focusing on the wood, stone and cubbies. Design tip: Even if your fireplace is front and center, you can camouflage it by using

Hi. Not being very familiar with fireplaces, I would like to find out whether it does not get too hot for the TV above the fireplace? Or is it not such a problem? Kind regards, Lydia
We were advised by a high end audio/TV installer to install only above a gas fireplace. The smoke from a wood burning fireplace will rise up and ruin the electronics. Hope that helps.
Reminds me of our house with windows each side. Maybe we do TV eventually

Questions11
Is it comfortable to look up on TV, when it's so high?
The homeowner didn't mention anything about the TV and how comfortable it is to watch. She doesn't seem like the type that watches much TV so it was probably less of a concern to her when designing the space. Thank you for looking.
