The stone on the walls of the home is a mix of a local North Carolina fieldstone and Virginia fieldstone. The paving stone is Pennsylvania bluestone.

Combines Craftsman ideas, hip roof, a belt line roof, Western stick style, and barge boards from chalet style
Francisco area. Elaborately carved barge boards in the spirit of a Swiss chalet delicately play to its charm. Some California examples can be called the Western Stick style for the use of the trim detail in gable faces such as these. Notice the unusual combination of the hip roof above right, and as a belt

Yes, the shingles are Western Red Cedar R&R Teal Brand. They have been pre dipped with a clear preservative prior to application on the building. They will darken over time depending on the exposure, rain, etc. They can be power washed and look like new after a few years if you are trying maintain the
