Hello! yes this floor is acid etched. We used an acid stain made by Kemiko and the color is tortoise shell. These floors have a sealer applied over the stain and a final coat of wax applied. The color can be seen here

13. Fill a vertical space. Have a narrow slice of wall to fill? Hang art in the space all the way from the floor to the ceiling. You could do this on a large wall, but this is a great way to try out a dramatic gallery-style wall without making such a big commitment.

"hearts pine" floors with staggering widths of 6,8 and 10 foot boards. Just put 11-12 white oak in my house, "if you can find it" get wide board reclaimed floors (totally swoon worthy)...
Shows rustic floors and super modern can work well together.

Don’t feel tied down to one flooring option, even if you live in a studio or loft with open space. Mixing different elements creates texture, contrast and visual interest.

When I think of a country kitchen, this is the flooring that comes to mind. Aged barn-board planking — some pieces still sporting the paint and patina of previous generations — provides the perfect foundation for this farmhouse kitchen. Barn-board flooring has benefits: It’s fairly inexpensive, it’s recycled
