You say there is a 5 degree angle. How many inches is the wedge at the bottom and how may inches at the top in order to make the 5 degree angle?

is a custom banquette table that is made so that it can be lowered to the height of a bench and used as an extra sleeping area for guests.
Looks like a custom piece - I'm guessing it's reclaimed wood atop steel legs that must be anchored into the floor somehow (?)
used here and was it a more affordable option than something like hardoods?
How was the weathered steel wall fabricated?
I really like the weathered steel wall panels being offset with the horizontal banding. Were they fabricated into large panels for installation
joints and was wondering has this been ok? Have you experienced any cracking or movement due to the large area's that are covered? Also, do you have underfloor heating? Many thanks!!
weathered steel panels at our Lake Forest Park project. The steel panels were roughly 10" high and varied in length. Some panels were flat and some panels were "L" shaped since the wall steps in and out. It was a very technically demanding installation, and the tolerance for each panel was only 1/64".

exposed steel, are reflective of my style, as is basic black in clothing style. The use of these materials in a creative and contemporary design, as well as incorporating items like 200-year-old hand-hewn beams, adds a curiosity to the design and style.

with custom soapstone hearth, custom mahogany mantle, custom painted banquette and new custom wood windows were all designed by OXB Studios. Photography by Christine Davis. The trestle table, antique copper accents, pendant lights, and Arts and Crafts-era inspired paintings all beckon the family to
speakers and recessed accent lighting are barely noticeable. The chunky hearth has convenient storage for firewood.
I love the idea of having anchored seating along the wall. Our breakfast area is on the small side and I believe eliminating individual chairs and just having a couple would be helpful in that space.
