Wow! You were able to get the info....Thank You! When you say engineered.....I'm not sure how that's different from let's say prefinished, solid wood. My understanding was that engineered has a very thin top layer that can't be sanded or refinished. Are you telling me....it was pre-finished with
the french oak, sanded and stained....beforeit was laid? My understanding is prefinished = solid, stained and finished before it comes to me. Engineered is also.....but inot SOLID and can be sanded and refinished at a later date if desired. Sorry to be so detailed w/my question. Either way - it's
Architect says, "Engineered French oak, sanded and stained very dark."
stain, color - not much info from architect - but he cup later with "engineered, stained dark". Engineered to me is (all done before install. Can't be refinished (too thin to do so properly). But not sure.
