Rustic Dining Room
darker logs, looks like a waxed finish
natural wood log interior (don't like the furniture, hunting accents or the lighting)
Iron chandelier looks awesome in the log cabin.
Many sets from Old-West movies are all about cabin-style interiors. That description may immediately scream "man cave," but it doesn't have to. Dark tones layered upon one another can be super sophisticated. Also, since cabins usually have some utilitarian use to them, it's common to see tools hung on
on walls as accessories, such as the military binoculars hanging on the wall behind the dining table here. The layers of rustic logs, heavy iron light fixture, rich wood table and weathered chairs are all the room could handle. By stopping there, it creates a beautiful balance. Grizzly bear taxidermy
Brilliant! Lighting & Design
Flooring with a great story behind it. Many river reclaimed floors come from logs that were lost hundreds of years ago during early American logging.
the time of this project. The wood is mostly 'sinker' cypress (so named since it has been recovered from river bottoms, many dating from the heavy logging era of the late 1800s and early 1900s). So well preserved, with beautiful grain patterns and rich color.
Tree trunk posts for a cabin feel
These tree-trunk posts are two of a set of six that support an office loft above a dining room. Harvested onsite, the oak tree trunks were stripped, polished and incorporated into the structure.
