Can you please tell me about these floors? Are the planks different sizes? Is it an engineered wood floor and if so who makes it? Thank you
Thank you for your interest! The floors are real white oak and yes, the planks do vary slightly in width.

A raised bar of poured concrete offsets the wood floors and black granite island top. But this isn't your typical concrete for making street curbs; this glass-fiber-reinforced version from Newbold Stone, who did all the concrete work, is smooth to the touch. Is there a crack in the concrete floor in this picture? If so, was it intended, or related to the weight of the fireplace? Thx
Hello and thanks for the question about the concrete. This cast in place floor is standard concrete. It was then ground and polished to our desired sheen, and then a dye treatment was applied before the floor was sealed. We worked extensively with the polishing company to work through the procedures
There are a few cracks in this, and all concrete floors. It is part of the nature of this material, and it becomes part of the surface's character. The cracks here were filled with a special filling epoxy and were then ground and polished with the floor. In this photo, the crack has absolutely nothing

all-white palette was chosen with accent colors in various rooms. Traditional stair detailing, wide, oil-finished white oak floors and wainscot speaks to the past while a more open floor plan speaks to contemporary living. This house achieved a LEED Platinum green certification from the US Green Building
Victorian underwent a gut rehabilitation in 2010-2012 to transform it from a dilapidated 2BR/1BA to a 5BR/4BA contemporary family home. A new 3rd floor was added to add a Master Suite and a child's bedroom and two roof decks and the basement was excavated to add a 2-car garage (with electric car charger)
The floors are a natural white oak with a Tung oil finish for water and stain resistance.
