a great fabric to consider is Mexican oilcloth. It’s durable, water repellant and can be used for anything from tabletops to chair cushions. I recommend having a look at Me Too Please, which is one of the main suppliers of oilcloth in Australia. My top spots for shopping kitchen fabrics would be:
