This was not a new floor. This was an 80-year-old, white oak floor to start. We do not know the brand of stain used, although it was "ebony"

actually. However, I can suggest that White Oak has less noticeable grain when stained dark than Red Oak. You will still see the wood grain, but will
espresso stain is the grain of the wood still visible? did you wet the wood before applying the stain? looking to get the same effect on my white oak. Thanks
want a real consistent color, you can always dye the flooring too. I suggest talking to your floor professional and doing numerous samples to get the look
