Custom Cast Stone Overmantel Project
Dining and kitchen side of the cast stone fireplace mantel. The two sided fireplace mantel is a Mediterranean style on both sides. More flare on the overmantel side while a simpler design on the kitchen side. Two pilasters flank the fireplace.

color and brand is the paint on walls and fireplace brick?
What type of wood did you use for the mantel? I love the contrast of the painted finish
finish with the natural look of the wood mantel. Great job!
I too would love to see more pics. I have a fireplace dilemma (very, very plain gas FP in wall with very large "nook" (for lack of a better word) to one side only. Love, love this! Thanks Cathy
Love the wood across the fireplace
Vertical shiplap above fireplace and behind shelves
like space above mantel, don't like the wood tone on front of mantel
Like the boards above the fireplace

could you please tell me the type of fireplace gas or electric and what is the manufacturer?
what kind of stone was used for the fireplace? Love it!
could you please tell us tha name of the stone as well?
Fireplace for family room and entry. Like ceiling too.
Stone but less width than this
little too massive rock, but like idea of fireplace looking through
double sided fireplace plus extended pony wall option, great rockwork and wooden floors
High stone fireplace open on both sides
Tall opening. Add your own personality to your double-sided fireplace. This fireplace has an extra-tall opening that makes it a dramatic focal point.Tip: When the fireplace opening starts to approach eye level, people will be able to see inside. Get creative with the materials you use on the interior

love the fireplace? where is it from?
where did you get the fireplace mantel? Is it stone? what kind?
Interesed in where the fireplace came from and is it limestone or fabricated
The fireplace surround and you can contact www.contessastone.com - George Catalano is very knowledgable and helpful.
Dark gray fireplace. Looks good?
opening to the fireplace…. is this possible?
fireplace. Also, dark wood floors
Stone like this just to mantle
Ledge to carry over with matching stone under
This looks like the fireplace was closed in with drywall and then a stone surround put around the opening

How thick is the stone mantel from top to bottom?
Is this two sided fireplace natural gas.if so who is the manufacturer
What kind of stone and what plaster/ceiling and wall treatment is this?
What is the make/model of the fireplace?
I'm sure it's a masonry fireplace as well - especially in an older lodge such as this one.
This isn't my project, so I can't say for sure, but it appears to be a masonry wood-burning fireplace with custom doors and some very serious natural stone. Ironhaus makes some doors like this:
Love this fireplace. Is it gas? Someone told me you shouldn't vent a gas fireplace because you lose the heat in the room. Is this pre-manufactured or built on site?
makes me realize I should about putting the fireplace more central to the area

tell me about the beautiful fireplace. does it have to be vented to the outside? it is gas? does it burn real wood?
the material surrounding the fireplace, is it slate?
cluttered in a photo. I've been learning through my mistakes. Something to think about when designing your own home is whether you would want to have a mantel to put a few things on as you'd likely want to keep the sideboard clear for serving dishes. :) Rhoda
Coronado Stone's new Pro-Ledge profile is similar: http://www.coronado.com
Slate surround. Coronado Stone's new pro-ledge profile is similar, per notes on side.
i like how the fireplace is a t more of an eye level point
