are those cork floors? I love them. Can yu tell me the color?
passing now. Here's the answer. Hope it's not too late. ;-) The cork floor is VERY durable once it has its finish or top coats properly applied. If you use it before applying the top coats, it is very easy to damage. I had a very similar cork floor in my last kitchen and it was great not only for durability

Can cork flooring be used throughout a house or is it too soft for entrance ways? I heard that high heels could damage cork flooring, is that correct?
Who is the manufacturer of that cork floor?
photo, though it is not my cork floor, would be Forna's "Salami". As a glue down tile, it sells for $1.78/sf and as a floating floor (click-together floor) it sells for $2.97/sf. The second photo (again, not my flooring) would be named "Black Beach" in Forna's library of cork. Black Beach glue down tile
tile = $1.69/sf or a floating floor = $2.79/sf. The third photo (again, not my floor) would be a version of Forna's "Taupe Leather". So far, it only comes in a floating floor = $3.89/sf You can find all of these floors (or Forna's versions of them) at: USA = www.icorkfloor.com Canada = www.corkfloorsales

Are the floor board white oak? Stain color??
Could I please get the dimensions of your room dividers/ base etc? Thx
The base was about 10"h, the top about 6". The panel was +/- 6'-5".
A site finished floor gives the homeowner full control over the color of their floor. I recommend it when possible.
Custom light ebony can be achieved by having a good on site sand and finish hardwood company use
This was a custom design using 3-Form panels and millwork. We decided not to go with a water feature in this case, maintenance was a factor. You could easily adapt it to suit a pump and reservoir. Thank you
was for a fountain but the builder decided against it because of the maintenance that would come with it. All the wood pieces were constructed and finished on site and the screen panel is a product from 3-form. Small branches laminated between acrylic panels. Thanks for your interest. Chris & Laurie

Ann Sacks. I don't remember the color. It;s a polish finish.
It's a matte finish and with the texture, it hides residue fairly well.

what is the floor in this shower. Is it bambo? If it is, why? Is it tile underneath?
I loose hair like crazy, how hard is it to keep these shower floors/drains clean?
Sorry, just realizing you we're looking for the shower floor information. It is teak. We had it made by someone who makes teak accessories for boats. It sits on top a regular tiled floor. It is just an oiled finish so we can refresh it two or three times a year.
Nothing ... it's teak so it is well suited to water. It does have some wood spacers built into the bottom of it so it is slightly raised above the tile floor. We oil it about three times a year with teak oil.

What did you use for base moldings and crown molding?
Color is very deep and rich, floor is definitely water popped before staining.
Love this!! Did you use flat or eggshell for the walls? I'm assuming semi-gloss for the trim? I also LOVE the flooring and want to duplicate it for refinishing our white oak floors. However, we have red oak railings and treads (with iron banisters) and our contractor has pretty much left us hanging
Hello. As I said above, it is a White Oak floor with a custom blend of stains. Our clients saw a color that they liked, and our painters matched it by making a custom blend. This process is pretty

Was the metal vanity base finished in any special way to resist water?
Can you tell me what color of grout you used on your subway tiles? Also, what is your flooring? Love this look!
So I've been told that doing your shower floor any bigger than a 4 x 4 is not recommended. It looks like this floor has larger tile pieces. Was it built a certain way to get away with using larger pieces for the shower floor?
what was used for the floor tile and where was it purchased?
Where is the floor tile from? is it a ceramic?
What is the name and color of the Floor Tile?
I should have asked -- are the floor tiles slate or cement?
If you zoom in on the photo you will see that the shower floor tile is a tiny rectangular mosaic. The large tile you are seeing is a reflection of the floor in the room on the glass shower door.

Does the toilet plumbing go into the wall or the floor?
I love the simplicity of the toilet. I need to replace a toilet that has plumbing in the wall. Not the floor.
Where can i buy all the floor, wall and mosaic from??
if you ever find a supplier please let us know - I like the honeycomb flooring & grey wall combination. can I get this done in Egypt?
Into the wall. The tank system is there. Installing wall mounted toilets is more involved than installing floor mounted toilets. Geberit makes systems that are compatible with many toilet brands: http://www.geberit.us/catalog/catalogs.php?TypeID=1 :) Rhoda

Did you use oil-based paint or lacquer for your cabinetry?
HI there, I was wondering which kind of cabinet finish you use for the paint? Did you use lacquer or oil-based paint? Thanks!
What is the source for the floors? And what is the species/finish?
can you tell me the width of the floor boards and if you find walnut to be a soft wood that can scratch?
as well. For pre finished woods, you usually get what you pay for. If having it installed as a unfinished product, make sure to look into what finish will be used. Regular finish will yellow quickly and provide little scratch resistance. I would use a 2 component water based finish.
The floors look great! Tung oil does provide a high level of protection however not as much as a polyurethane finish. There are advantages however. An oiled finish will typically let you spot refinish areas that need it.
