The white planked cabinetry gives the kitchen a low-key feel that's in line with its coastal location. Gutow installed a reclaimed rough-sawn wood beam above the hood as a rustic accent. The kitchen's size and layout didn't allow for as much storage as the couple would've liked, so Gutow put glass shelves

Mason jars. The former “hillbilly wineglass” is now a kitchen mainstay. It’s affordable, available in most grocery stores and incredibly versatile. Use mason jars as candleholders to decorate a kitchen island or on the counter to display baked goods or snacks.
The kitchen across from the dining area replaced what was once a bedroom. The couple chose the most budget-friendly vinyl flooring they could find at the time. I bet it's lime wash. I've been researching it on houzz for the past week. There are lots of other examples on this site, just search "lime wash brick" in the search bar above.
