9. Don't karate chop. Whatever you do, don't karate-chop your pillows. No exceptions. Why do people do this? Nobody knows. Maybe it's thought that it makes the pillows look less contrived

ceiling, there is no reason to leave that little gap at the top. While I am commenting on this picture I must add one more thought for mcqk. The karate-chopped pillows I first saw in Germany many years ago. Later the style made it's way here. I think you are part right. The square pillows to me look okay
All the pillows have been karate-chopped. Just stop with that. It looks foolish.
