Love these beams. Col how they don't all go from wall to wall. Some connect to a post. Also like the hardware to join them.

Mud and Wood
The Mud and Wood House
Hi. Sorry for taking a while to reply. For us,a lot of the look of the room was achieved at very little cost. We built the walls of mud, excavated from our site when we dug the foundations. The floor is also a mud floor, sealed with 7 layers of boiled linseed oil. The internal plaster is also made from
windfall trees, which we milled and dried ourselves. We teach people how to achieve this for themselves. We also carry out this work too. The house cost us €81 per sq. ft. to build, because we did so much of it ourselves using "home-made" materials. To get it built would probably cost 3 times that. - Hope
