Eclectic entryway for a Lake Geneva house. The wood paneling was custom finished with a process of paint and stain to give it an antiqued appearance. Photography by Bill Meyer
Katherine - thanks for your question. The wood is a high quality pine with a few tight knots. The finish is all custom. Many layers of paint, hand-mixed by an artist, to give it a faux-worn look and then finished with an antiquing gloss. Hope that helps.

?The wall sconce on the right side of the front door is just what I have been looking for. Long like a piece of jewerly to make the finishing touch for the entry. Just love it!
design was done without a stencil. It was hand drawn on one side and then mirror transferred on the opposite side. Then I painted the design. I make custom hand painted designs specific to the surface they are to be applied to. This particular design was inspired by a damask fabric.
Each kid gets a custom door
Paneling clearly clearly didn't provide enough pizzazz for designer Allison Cosmos. The door was painted with a coral coat of paint in a satin finish before the gloss white design was applied. You can achieve a similar look with any number of stencil designs. Check out Royal Design Studio and Cutting
