Oh Yes! 4'-6" would still be enough room for someone to sit down on the bench and another person can still walk by. Anything over 3' is great! Good Luck- it's a great idea!

This room is beautiful, warm and inviting. You did a great job pulling it all together. Do think saltillo tiles look best with yellows and warm white painted walls? I am agonizing over color selection for our beach house
