I like the idea of raised planters flanking the door (garage side) with tall grasses and accent lighting.
it would be really nice to expand the standing room by the door, provide a bench to set things on and then add dimension to the yard by having some steps further back in the yard.

historic Mansion required a facelift after the homeowner's updated the surrounding gardens. It was hot pink before with original gothic style 20's lighting that was not scaled to the space. Note the Groin Vault Arched Ceiling.

Where can I buy that light?
Can you tell me the wood type and stain color you used for the stair steps?
White Wisp by Benjamin Moore is the ceiling color and light from the chandelier may cause it to appear yellowish/gray. I will have to research my files for the wall color!
