lightl green panels contrast with a light "grout". I like the kick out windows, the railings, the awnings over the doors and how they chose to suspend them. I like the style of the front entry door and the mix of horizontal teak siding mixed in.
tower here? Like the front door, too
I like how this is warm contemporary with different colors and lines.
I like the color red and the slopes and how they intersect. I also like the red mixed with wood. I do not like the metal stanchions and corrugated metal thing .

I have a cottage in Stillwater, MN built in 1862. I know how cold and leaky original windows can be. Last year I started installing Larson Insider interior storm windows in my living room. They work! check out
The front enclosed area is a 7' by 5' 6'' . As you go up the stairs into that " mud room " you can go straight inside the house or by a door on the right side ,to the open porch ( 16' by 13' ) . I did built that porch around a flowering tree that i didn't want to cut , so there is an open
neighborhood), and how you feel about living there will affect how you feel about your home. If you are feeling disconnected from your home, consider taking time to explore your area and seek out good things and hidden treasures.

how do you build like this...won't the grade work kill the tree roots?
love the curves and how the tree is part of the house
Wonderful - how was the longevity of the tree engineered
Shape, trim, kitchen cabinets, windows, glass doors, pretty much everything.
It does not fit any set pattern, textured walls, columns that are similar to ribbed vaulting hip and pitched roofs. Above doors there is decoration similar to gingerbreading (in the sense of the fine patterns)

How was the deck flooring constructed?
We are looking to do a similar deck with travertine stone but are having a hard time figuring out how to set the stone so that it is stable/ enduring and does not leak down on to the decking below.
