At several locations throughout the home, the architect worked with the homeowner and stone mason to create subtle symbols for all five of the family members hidden in the exterior stone work. The detail in this photo is of a abstracted Dragonfly, a symbol of the family's middle child. Please also note the hand forged iron bracket which supports a wood trellis.
