Photo shows the exterior of a house we moved and added a great room to. It involved old barn beams, Eco-Block foundation and above-grade walls, James Hardie HardiPlank cement plank siding, and a huge Rumford style fireplace.

At several locations throughout the home, the architect worked with the homeowner and stone mason to create subtle symbols for all five of the family members hidden in the exterior stone work. The detail in this photo is of a abstracted Dragonfly, a symbol of the family's middle child. Please also note the hand forged iron bracket which supports a wood trellis.

This lakeside cottage was gutted to the rafters and then rebuilt with the bones of a Cape Cod. No one ever guesses the structure wasn't original.
