Because herbs grow so well in a group, keeping them together on an étagère, as Houzz user Dedeme68 has done in her garden in Australia, can help them thrive. This is a great way to keep fresh herbs at hand without the dedication of a full plant

Ah, I see. It looked to me like there was water in it and I thought you may be growing some talapia or something like that. Very cool.

Paths, Stairs and Gates
I have been having trouble growing grass between stone.
It's a great idea. I've been looking for something easy, low cost and good looking for my garden. This would help keep my dogs in their yard and my chickens out of my veggies!
solution for separate garden area for chickens????
Would be a cute way to section off a vegetable garden.
6. Protect the vegie patch When you go to the trouble of growing your own vegetables, the last thing you want is for them to be gobbled up by the resident wildlife or dug up by chickens or dogs. A rustic gate and fence in keeping with the garden beyond could be the way to go. Plant nasturtiums on either
either side of the gate for colour, and to keep those garden pests at bay.
