How do you paint a wood floor?
How are these floors holding up? Or how do painted floors hold up in general?
Painting a wood floor can be a less expensive alternative to refinishing your floors. What's great about painting wood flooring is that it works just as well for modern homes as it does for traditional homes. It's a pretty simple process that just takes a little
modern look, try a bold high gloss color. For a more traditional approach, think about a harlequin floor pattern or border around the edges. Let me know how it turns out! I love the look of painted wood.
you sand the floors down with either a floor sander or a hand sander. Remove the excess dust with a wet mop, and allow the floors to dry. It's best to use an exterior grade paint, and if you want real durability, I would suggest and oil-based enamel. You may want to prime the floors first. I suggest

Hi there, unfortunately I do not have an answer for you as Wood Anchor only provided wood related products on this project.
Hi Sara, Sorry for delayed response! The wood flooring is our engineered

At International Slate and Stone you can buy thinner veneers of slate or flagstone flooring so that it's not as heavy for an existing floors. That's what we're going to use in our remodel. Hope this
the walls as of yet, the cabinets will be refaced to match where I will not have the differential of woods here. Doing all the walls, stairs, and rooms 1st and using what is left for upstairs flooring and all the built ins we have. with all the same load of walnut purchased at one time. Only skip planed

Love the floors! Could you please give a specific description of the wood, stain...?
Unfortunately it is not a stain, it is an engineered flooring (which is actually better given it is such a light color!). Engineered flooring has a harder surface and doesn't dent, ding or dirty as quickly as real wood. Not to say I don't love real wood! This floor is from Kahrs. The color is Arctic oak. Here
Hi forkgirl! The flooring is from a vendor call Khars. It is an engineered wood flooring product and the finish is white ash. It looks so great and this company has several other beautiful finishes that are very European. Hope that helps!

Is there grout between tile and wood? Did you build up floor
Is there grout between tile and wood? Did you have to build up floor under the wood to get even transition? Donna
Hi, we put a plastic membrane under the floor for extra protection then sealed all around the edges where the pebbles met the wooden floor. Grouting was then taken right up to the edge. Hope this answers your question.

Where can I purchase these tiles? I have searched and searched the Internet but cannot find anything similar. I love this tile floor.
This is a slate tile floor. Should be available wherever slate is sold.
The flooring tiles are natural slate.
The floor tile is 'Desert Green Slate'. We purchased this from Ultimate Stone in Vaughan, ON.

what is the floor in this shower. Is it bambo? If it is, why? Is it tile underneath?
what did you put down keep the wood from roiting
I loose hair like crazy, how hard is it to keep these shower floors/drains clean?
The floors are tiled like a regular shower floor underneath the teak floor. In terms of hair and stuff on the actual wood floor it's no biggie, it just falls between the slats. There is a small "trap door" over the drain so you can open that to clean the drain without removing the wood floor. The entire
inexpensive tile and the floor (a matte gray 12x24 that we cut down to make 6x24, which wasn't available at the time) was Italian and considerably more expensive than the wall tile. If I can find manufacturer information I'll add it.
