Eclectic RoomIt's intentional but not at all stuffy. Colorful but not over the top. Modern eclectic works for kids and adults alike because it looks like you can live in it. An artfully placed stack of books might contain something by Annie Leibovitz and Dr. Seuss.

black-and-white on canvas is a great way to make your family pictures feel like pieces of art. The mix of white, gray and sisal here highlight the grouping of three black-and-white baby photos. It's a sophisticated take on the classic family room.

These deep, custom-built picture ledges made from MDF can also double as bookshelves.Tip: Paint the wall and shelves
Leaving aside the all-blue paint treatment (whoa!), leaning kids' art along a ledge such as this shows it off in a casual, graphic way and makes it easy to rotate regularly. In such a bold space, too many vivid artworks might have overpowered each other. Instead, the brighter ones are balanced by more

This room is all about colour and how to make an eclectic mix of inherited and new pieces work together. The table is mid-century modern teak, the couch is new and the love seat was inherited. The sideboards were inherited from family and I updated them with a chocolate spray laquer and blue milk glass
layout, all black frames (one with a bit of silver) and the colored one anchors the center. Really nicely done. I love everything about this room!
Is it best to start placing the smaller or larger pictures on the wall first? How did you choose these pictures to go together?
search and eventually to this page. so glad its going to work after looking at your picture. thank you!!!
It's a linen/silk blend fabric that I bought at a store called Designer Fabrics in Toronto, then I had the pillow custom made.
