What child doesn't love stories about mice and their creative use of everyday items? Now they can act out - or better yet - create the stories themselves.
This is such a cool idea - send L.L. Bean your address, and they'll customize a jigsaw puzzle that portrays a map of your hometown. Please be advised, some are based on older survey maps, so don't pin your hopes on seeing your own house on the map if it's a fairly new build!
Let the kid in you howl with this cute plush dog. Long tendrils of salvaged newspaper create a great coat for this Hungarian herder. The most memorable guest room I ever entered had classic pristine accommodations and an extremely unexpected and slightly strange bed fellow. Give it to a loved one...

Roald Dahl was onto something when he deemed foxes being fantastic — they are in all forms, including this paper shadow puppet.

A really cool vintage rubber printing set by The Superior Type Company, Chicago IL. It has the mini rubber letters, but missing is the original ink pad. I believe this is circa late 1930s. The box itself is a wonderful display in a child's room or library in its red and yellow colors and graphics.

I love a product that is beautiful and functional. Not only will these soft alpaca wool blocks be a fun first toy for your child, they will also look great in your baby's space.
These handmade animals were originally made by Iris Savir to cheer up children who were having a hard time. They are special enough to leave out all the time as a decoration, and totally play friendly.
I love when a designer uses an unexpected material. Astroturf on a piggy bank certainly fits the bill.
A modern tree puzzle like this would be great to make with the kids. I love how textural the patterns are.
Lovely to handle, this mini neighborhood of handmade felt and wood is great for imaginative play or artful shelf display.
These toys feel so good in your hands thanks to super-thick printed fabrics. But it's the girl pirate (and there are boys and a parrot, too) that has me smitten.

Somehow I see this Octopus becoming the perfect friend to help keep away the bad guys after lights out.

Wonderful child's scooter from the 30's. English in origin and very well loved! Small dog tag "Prince" and we love his newer western vest and tattered tail! Appropriate wear for age and use- but is still in excellent and useable condition.
He has short fur, glass eyes, vinyl tongue, and his nose is still intact but a bit scuffed. Good vintage condition otherwise. His fur is in true wire hair style. He stands in such a classic terrier pose which makes him wonderful as a display in a vignette or for photo prop. You don't see many pups...
No fairytale is ever complete without a dragon. He's unlikely to breathe fire and much more likely to settle down with your little one for a story and a cuddle.
A 13 " long model contains 20 detachable organs and body parts and display stand. Fine detailed sculpting with hand painted parts. Collect the series - great gifts for education or future marine biologist. Ages 8+.
A beautiful vintage 1960s child's rocking horse is perfect for a baby shower gift, or simply displayed as an objet d'art in a living room.
These printed kitties are absolutely adorable. Again, another thing I wouldn't mind cleaning off the floor. It'd be fun to get an entire animal collection going for encouraging imaginary play.
Bear Chalkboard Coat Hook
This fun little dollhouse is lightweight, made out of cardboard, and has plenty of openings for little ones to play house with favorite action figures and dolls inside.

Skip the standard rug and go for an interactive playmat instead. I like that this one isn't too rigid, which makes it better suited for fostering open-ended play.
